Palazzo del Pegaso – Spazio Espositivo “Carlo Azeglio Ciampi” – Via de’ Pucci, 16

From one of the most important collections in the world, an important selection of works by

Yasuki Hiramatsu
Bruno Martinazzi
Francesco Pavan
Fritz Maierhofer
Peter Chang
Peter Skubic
Ruudt Peters
Gerd Rothmann
Manfred Bischoff

In the rooms of the Palazzo del Pegaso, a huge selection of one of the largest private collection of contemporary jewellery existing, that one belonging to the Austrian couple of Karl and Heidi Bollmann,  will be exhibited. For the occasion they provide about 30 pieces made by some of the leading personality who have determined the course of the “New Jewelry” from the second half of the last century and up to the present day.
Authoritative figures such as Manfred Bischoff, Peter Chang, Yasuki Hiramatsu, Fritz Maierhofer, Bruno Martinazzi, Francesco Pavan, Ruudt Peters, Gerd Rothmann, Peter Skubic, are today considered by critics to be pioneers and avant-gardists in international jewellery research, for having introduced materials that until then had not been part of the goldsmith’s repertoire or for having revitalized forms, techniques and contents, treating jewelry as a privileged vehicle of a specific artistic intuition and as an opportunity to deepen experimentation on materials.

Palazzo del Pegaso – Via de’ Pucci, 16r

Guest of excellence will be the most famous piece of the Paduan master goldsmith Giovanni Corvaja, the extraordinary headpiece woven in the noblest metal and part of the prestigious Golden Fleece series, housed in the last of the three rooms of the Palazzo del Pegaso.
