SEGNI SUL VOLTO, seminario/workshop ideato da Carla Riccoboni in collaborazione con Le Arti Orafe, si aprirà con una serie di relazioni trasmesse su piattaforma online, condotte da professionisti di diversi settori di competenza, incentrate sul tema del progetto ovvero sulla relazione tra segno e identità, analizzata da una pluralità di prospettive. Gli appuntamenti, concentrati nel mese di ottobre saranno l’occasione per ripercorrere e indagare i significati espressivi e simbolici della decorazione del viso nel corso della storia e dell’attualità in differenti contesti geografici, fino a scoprire gli orizzonti che si stanno delineando per il futuro con l’avvento delle nuove tecnologie.
Per Segni sul volto, la prof. Chiara Scarpitti proporrà una Lecture focalizzata sugli scenari futuri del gioiello contemporaneo legati alle nuove tecnologie. Il contributo ruoterà intorno le parole chiave: “gioiello contemporaneo”, “nuove tecnologie”, “processi produttivi”, “scenari futuri”.
“Da una prospettiva neoumanista, la Lecture analizza gli scenari futuri del gioiello contemporaneo, riappropriandosi dei concetti di tecnologia e materia, intesi come strumenti di riflessione del progetto. Dall’ibridazione di approcci tecno-digitali e umanistico-artistici nascono nuove relazioni tra il gioiello e chi lo osserva. Tali interazioni convergono verso un gioiello pensato per un consumo non solo tangibile, ma intellettuale, poiché espandono i suoi significati a un più ampio spettro di temi, come la sostenibilità ambientale, l’innovazione materico-tecnologica, le problematiche di natura politica e sociale che interessano oggi la contemporaneità. Dal digitale al postdigitale, gli scenari futuri del gioiello contemporaneo si orientano ad una rinnovato rapporto tra uomo, natura e tecnologia.”

Chiara Scarpitti, designer e PhD, è Ricercatore in Design presso il Dipartimento di Architettura e Disegno Industriale dell’Università della Campania “Vanvitelli”. Ha insegnato Design del Gioiello allo IED Moda di Milano, al Tarì Design School di Marcianise, all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli. Dal 2006 si occupa a livello internazionale di progettazione del design del gioiello contemporaneo, ottenendo numerosi premi ed esponendo in musei e gallerie le proprie ricerche. www.chiarascarpitti.com

SEGNI SUL VOLTO (SIGNS OVER THE FACE), a seminar/workshop conceived by Carla Riccoboni in collaboration with Le Arti Orafe, will open with a series of lectures transmitted on an online platform, conducted by professionals from various fields of expertise, focusing on the theme of the project or on the relationship between sign and identity, analysed from a variety of perspectives. The appointments, concentrated in the month of October, will be an opportunity to retrace and investigate the expressive and symbolic meanings of facial decoration throughout history and in the present day in different geographical contexts, and to discover the horizons that are emerging for the future with the advent of new technologies.
For SEGNI SUL VOLTO, Prof. Chiara Scarpitti will give a lecture focused on the future scenarios of contemporary jewellery linked to new technologies. The contribution will revolve around the key words: “contemporary jewellery”, “new technologies”, “production processes”, “future scenarios”.
“From a neo-humanist perspective, the Lecture analyses the future scenarios of contemporary jewellery, re-appropriating the concepts of technology and material, as tools for project reflection. The hybridisation of techno-digital and humanistic-artistic approaches gives rise to new relationships between the jewel and the observer. These interactions converge towards a jewel designed not only for tangible but also intellectual consumption, expanding its meanings to a broader spectrum of themes, such as environmental sustainability, material-technological innovation, and the political and social issues affecting contemporary life. From digital to post-digital, the future scenarios of contemporary jewellery are oriented towards a renewed relationship between human being, nature, and technology”.

Chiara Scarpitti, designer and PhD, is a Researcher in Design at the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design of the University of Campania “Vanvitelli”. She has taught Jewellery Design at the IED Moda in Milan, the Tarì Design School in Marcianise, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. Since 2006 she has been working internationally on contemporary jewellery design, winning numerous awards and exhibiting her works in museums and galleries. www.chiarascarpitti.com
