SEGNI SUL VOLTO, seminario/workshop ideato da Carla Riccoboni in collaborazione con Le Arti Orafe, si aprirà con una serie di relazioni trasmesse su piattaforma online, condotte da professionisti di diversi settori di competenza, incentrate sul tema del progetto ovvero sulla relazione tra segno e identità, analizzata da una pluralità di prospettive. Gli appuntamenti, concentrati nel mese di ottobre saranno l’occasione per ripercorrere e indagare i significati espressivi e simbolici della decorazione del viso nel corso della storia e dell’attualità in differenti contesti geografici, fino a scoprire gli orizzonti che si stanno delineando per il futuro con l’avvento delle nuove tecnologie.
Per SEGNI SUL VOLTO, la prof. Menegotto proporrà un breve percorso critico, focalizzato sul tema del RITRATTO-AUTORITRATTO nell’arte degli ultimi cento anni. La relazione ruoterà attorno alle parole cardine “volto”, “segno”, “identità” e “memoria”.
“Il nostro VOLTO può rivelare, a noi stessi e a chi ci osserva, la nostra interiorità, ma che cosa può significare, sottolineare, nascondere o modificarne i tratti attraverso dei SEGNI? Nel mio breve excursus, attraverso ritratti/autoritratti di grandi artisti, suggerisco alcune chiavi interpretative per osservare, percepire (dare significato), riconoscere e comunicare alcune emblematiche e particolari IDENTITA’ storiche, poetiche e psicologiche. Si tratta di opere che, come tracce di azioni compiute, possono essere ripercorse e suggerire ulteriori sviluppi creativi. Tra MEMORIA e creatività esiste infatti una relazione necessaria, si nutrono reciprocamente e sono indispensabili per individuarci. Memoria, ragione, compassione, intuito sono indispensabili per procedere creativamente e continuare ad immaginare noi stessi e il mondo, e la nostra relazione con esso. L’arte ci permette forse più di ogni altra esperienza di arricchire creativamente la nostra identità.”

Alessandra Menegotto è stata docente di storia dell’arte al Liceo Artistico di Vicenza. Ha realizzato progetti didattici che hanno avuto importanti riconoscimenti, ha collaborato con musei e istituzioni, come il Museo Casabianca di Malo e l’UNESCO. Si occupa d’arte contemporanea frequentandola anche attraverso la scrittura di testi critici.

SEGNI SUL VOLTO (SIGNS OVER THE FACE), a seminar/workshop conceived by Carla Riccoboni in collaboration with Le Arti Orafe, will open with a series of lectures transmitted on an online platform, conducted by professionals from various fields of expertise, focusing on the theme of the project or on the relationship between sign and identity, analysed from a variety of perspectives. The appointments, concentrated in the month of October, will be an opportunity to retrace and investigate the expressive and symbolic meanings of facial decoration throughout history and in the present day in different geographical contexts, and to discover the horizons that are emerging for the future with the advent of new technologies.
For SEGNI SUL VOLTO, Prof. Menegotto will propose a short critical pathway, focusing on the theme of PORTRAIT / SELF-PORTRAIT in the art of the last hundred years. The presentation will revolve around the keywords “face”, “sign”, “identity” and “memory”.
“Our FACE can reveal, to ourselves and to those who observe us, our interiority, but what can it mean, underline, hide or modify our features through SIGNS? In my brief excursus, through portraits / self-portraits of great artists, I suggest some interpretative keys to observe, perceive (give meaning), recognise and communicate some emblematic and particular historical, poetic and psychological IDENTITY. These are works that, like traces of accomplished actions, can be retraced and suggest further creative developments. In fact, there is a necessary relationship between MEMORY and creativity, they nourish each other and are indispensable for identifying ourselves. Memory, reason, compassion, intuition are indispensable to proceed creatively and continue to imagine ourselves and the world, and our relationship with it. Art allows us perhaps more than any other experience to creatively enrich our identity.”

Alessandra Menegotto taught art history at the Liceo Artistico in Vicenza. She led teaching projects that won important awards, and collaborated with museums and institutions, such as the Museo Casabianca in Malo and UNESCO. She devotes her work to contemporary art, writing critical texts too.
